Absolutely fantastic team lead by David and Debs. It was the venue for our wedding reception and they delivered ! Nothing was too much trouble and everybody had a thoroughly great time.

Came with my partner for a drink today (Valentines Day) have parking, place was lovely, pleasant, staff was nice and friendly, great pool table… can’t beat a game of pool! 😂 definitely will come again. Highly recommend.

We booked in for a night the restaurant we rang up to book a table they wasn’t serving any food as taking over by a different owner which should be changed on the website so we booked a a pub up the road as we arrived they said that double booked which they could of rang us to let us no sent us to another hotel which was away from the area was taken near a petrol station behind an Indian restaurant room was nice but we were next to the pot wash could here clattering of dishes very disappointed as wasn’t the location we booked nothing there they gave us room free that’s what he kept saying but dissatisfied So we decided to go home so before book on line I would ring if there room is vacant and not double booked sent to a service station put next to a pot wash the new owner said he can’t look at the bookings as he has no access to the website this hotel he has loads booking he said so would double check you have a room there looked nice pub shame ended to a disappointing night

I really enjoyed my stay here on a recent trip down from Scotland. The rooms aren’t quite as polished as they look on the website but they’re definitely clean and comfortable, and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming (special shout-out to Claire, the cleaner, for going above and beyond!). I had some trouble getting my shower to work and this was sorted out very quickly and with minimal fuss. The pub downstairs is cosy and reasonably priced. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The worst room we have ever stayed in, in our lives. The bed creaked every time i moved. If someone walked about in the next room the floor moved in our room moving the bed. Had to leave the cupboard doors open as they made a noise everytime any one moved. If the tap was run in the room next door, there was a massive noise where the pipes connected to ours. No light in the bathroom. The church bells ring every hour even through the night. Damp on the ceiling.

On a friends recommendation we visited today, whilst in the area. Seven of us had food and seven of us were incredibly satisfied. Food selection on the menu was great and all was pleasingly well priced. Wonderful ambience about the place; real home like feel. The sort of place you could while away many a lazy hour whilst feasting on the sumptuous food. Service was excellent throughout. Thoroughly recommend to anyone to make a point of visiting should you be in the area, and perhaps even if you're not! Try the buffalo wings and seasoned fries *chefs kiss*

Nice food and I would go back, but very limited and not very imaginative menu. I would go back more if menu improved. Sunday lunch looks nice so may give that a go. Nice pint of Timothy Taylor landlord.

We had the most amazing time here, meeting up from all parts of the country to celebrate a birthday and we were welcomed with open arms. A family friendly pub, aimed at all ages with excellent food and beautiful scenery. Hats off to the staff for a wonderful pub! We will be recommending to all, visit if you can!

Just returned after a couple of nights at the Boot Inn over Burghley weekend, fantastic place, couldn’t do enough for you. Food fantastic, lovely room, and the location was spot on. Can’t recommend enough! Oh and cracking bacon sandwiches to take away :) thanks to the Boot team!

Had a delightful one night stay at The boot inn. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The evening food and full English breakfast were fantastic. Great pub with a local comfort atmosphere. Ideal stay for dog lovers and walkers. Great stuff.

Lovely dog friendly country pub! We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay at The Boot Inn. We had a warm welcome from the owner, and him and his wife could not have been more accommodating. The food was fab, especially their calamari! The full English breakfast was superb and set us up perfectly for the day. We will be back for sure! Thank you! Holly & Jayne.

Pricey food, friendly staff, shared bathroom and I got locked inside one of the bedrooms twice as a dodgy lock. OK place If you like pricey food and don't want to travel anywhere else for a drink as its £20 a taxi no matter where you go.

Went here yesterday for a late Sunday lunch and wow !!! Amazing Sunday dinner!! Best we've had in ages!! And reasonably priced. Lovely chatty staff. What a find!! Highly recommend a visit. Will be going again xxx

Wow! What a lucky find. We booked a meal else where but there chef was Ill so we came here. Food fantastic especially the sticky toffee pudding. The staff were very friendly. We liked it so much we’ve booked breakfast in the morning. 10 out of 10
